So where do you find a deal on a website? In yesterday’s video we discussed the fact that strategically a deal is when you get more value than what you pay. But what if you want a discounted price on a website? Where do you look to buy one?
Well unfortunately, online business brokers have the highest quality listings and the best vetting process but you will rarely, if ever, get a discounted deal from a broker because they know the marketplace. They know what things are worth and they price things accordingly.
So that means if we really want a discounted price we’re going to have to look at marketplaces like Flippa.com. We’re going to have to spend the time sifting through low quality sites until we find something that has substance but is priced lower than the market for some reason.
We can also do outreach to make contact with website owners that have not listed their websites for sale but are willing to consider a deal without going through a public listing process.
In short it takes work to find truly undervalued sites to buy. The good news is that they do exist.
