Today’s tip: How do I get a good deal on a website that I buy.
Let’s think about a good deal in these terms. A good deal is when I get more value for my website purchase than the price I paid, over a period of time.
And when we think of it in that way, then we’re thinking more strategically.
Many websites we buy have assets that we can use elsewhere in our business. For example, a website may have an email list and we can market our other products to emails on that list. It may have an advertising account or a particular supplier relationship, or even an Operations team that comes with it.
These are all assets we can use and leverage over other parts of our business or other websites, for example. So I can get a lot more value potentially buying a website than maybe someone else who has no need of for those assets.
And I can actually afford to pay a higher price and still have more benefit from the purchase. So that’s one aspect of getting a good deal!
